1. Who we are
These Terms & Conditions (“Terms”) govern your use of [parleorg.com] (the “Site”) operated by PARLÉ (ABN 48 924778434) (“PARLÉ”, “we”, “us”, “our”).
Contact: contact@parleorg.com, [postal address].
By accessing or using the Site, you agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the Site.
2. Eligibility & accounts
You must be at least 16 to use the Site. If you create an account or subscribe, you must provide accurate information and keep it current. You are responsible for all activity under your login and for keeping your password secure; tell us promptly about unauthorised use.
3. Editorial content (no advice)
PARLÉ publishes editorial content for general information, commentary and discussion only. It is not legal, financial, medical or other professional advice. You should obtain independent advice before acting on any information.
4. Intellectual property
Unless stated otherwise, all content on the Site—including text, images, graphics, logos, video, audio, design and compilation—is owned by PARLÉ or our licensors and is protected by copyright and other intellectual-property laws.
You may view the Site for personal, non-commercial use only. You must not copy, reproduce, adapt, translate, publish, sell, distribute, frame, scrape, or create derivative works without our prior written consent.
Linking
You may link to public pages of the Site in a fair and legal way that does not damage or take advantage of our reputation. You must not imply any association, approval or endorsement where none exists. We may withdraw linking permission at any time.
5. User submissions & community standards
If the Site allows comments, uploads or other submissions (“User Content”):
You keep ownership of your User Content but grant PARLÉ a worldwide, royalty-free, non-exclusive licence to host, store, display, publish, distribute and otherwise use the content for operating, promoting and improving the Site.
You warrant your User Content is your own, lawful, and does not infringe others’ rights (including copyright, privacy and publicity).
You must not post anything unlawful, defamatory, hateful, harassing, obscene, misleading, advertising/spam, malware or technically harmful content.
We may moderate, edit or remove User Content at our discretion and may suspend or terminate access for breaches of these Terms.
To report suspected IP infringement, contact [contact@parleorg.com] with details and supporting material.
6. Prohibited uses
You must not:
use the Site in any way that violates applicable laws or regulations;
attempt to gain unauthorised access to the Site, accounts, data or systems;
interfere with the security or integrity of the Site (including introducing viruses, bots, scraping, or load-testing without consent);
imitate, misrepresent or imply affiliation with PARLÉ;
mine or harvest personal information of users without consent.
7. Purchases, digital products & events (if offered)
From time to time we may offer paid products, digital downloads, subscriptions or event tickets (collectively, “Products”).
Pricing & currency: Prices are in AUD unless stated otherwise and may change without notice.
Payments: Processed securely by our payment provider (e.g., [Stripe/PayPal]). We do not store full card numbers.
Delivery: Digital items are delivered by email/account access; physical items (if any) are shipped per the checkout terms.
Refunds: Your rights under the Australian Consumer Law (ACL) apply. If there is a major problem with a Product, you are entitled to a replacement or refund. For change-of-mind on digital items, refunds are generally not available once access is provided unless required by law.
Event changes: We may reschedule or cancel events; if so, we’ll offer a refund or transfer as required by law.
Specific offers may include additional terms at checkout; those terms apply in addition to these Terms.
8. Third-party services & links
The Site may link to or integrate third-party sites, tools, embeds and social platforms. We are not responsible for their content, policies or practices. Your use of third-party services is at your own risk and subject to their terms.
9. Privacy & cookies
Our collection and use of personal information is described in our Privacy Policy. By using the Site you consent to our use of cookies and similar technologies as described there.
10. Availability & changes
We aim to keep the Site available but do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation. We may modify, suspend or discontinue any part of the Site at any time without notice.
11. Disclaimer & limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, the Site and content are provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind.
Nothing in these Terms limits rights you may have under the ACL.
To the extent permitted by law, PARLÉ and our directors, officers, employees and contractors are not liable for any indirect, special, incidental or consequential loss; loss of profits, data or goodwill; or business interruption arising from or in connection with the Site, Products or these Terms. Where liability cannot be excluded, it is limited to the re-supply of the relevant services or the cost of having them re-supplied.
12. Indemnity
You agree to indemnify and hold PARLÉ and our personnel harmless from any claim, loss, liability, cost and expense (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your breach of these Terms, your User Content, or your unlawful use of the Site.
13. Suspension & termination
We may suspend or terminate your access to the Site (and delete or disable User Content) at any time if we reasonably believe you have breached these Terms or the law. Clauses that by nature should survive termination will survive (including IP, disclaimers, liability limits and indemnities).
14. International users
The Site is operated from Australia. If you access it from another country, you are responsible for compliance with local laws.
15. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of New South Wales, Australia, and the courts of NSW have exclusive jurisdiction.
